Fulbright fellowships for Indian citizens 2017-18
Fulbright-Nehru Master’s Fellowships – Application due date: June 15, 2016
These fellowships are for outstanding students with a four-year undergraduate degree and three years of professional work experience, to pursue a Master’s degree in the U.S. in the following areas of study:
– Arts and Culture Management including Heritage Conservation and Museum Studies
– Environmental Science/Studies
– Higher Education Administration
– International Legal Studies
– Public Health
– Urban and Regional Planning; and
– Women’s Studies/Gender Studies.

Fulbright-Nehru Doctoral Research Fellowships – Application due date: June 15, 2016
These are pre-doctoral level research fellowships for six to nine months for students who have registered for a Ph.D. at an Indian institution by August 1, 2015.

Fulbright-Nehru Postdoctoral Research Fellowships – Application due date: July 15, 2016
These fellowships are for faculty and research scholars, who have obtained their doctoral degree in the last four years, to pursue a postdoctoral research fellowship in the U.S. for 8 to 24 months.

Fulbright-Nehru Academic and Professional Excellence Fellowships – Application due date: July 15, 2016
This fellowship is meant for faculty, professionals and senior researchers, and provides an opportunity to teach and/or research at a U.S university for 4 to 9 months. One can opt for the Flex award if they want to split the grant time into 2 parts – each part no less than 1 month and no more than 3 months.

Fulbright-Kalam Climate Fellowships – Application due date: July 15, 2016
Aimed at building long-term capacity in climate research, the Fulbright-Kalam Climate Fellowships provides opportunities to talented faculty and researchers to strengthen their research capabilities. Under this category, students registered for a Ph.D. at an Indian institution by August 1, 2015 can apply for a six to nine month fellowship. In addition, Indian faculty and researchers who have obtained their doctoral degree in the last four years, can apply for a Postdoctoral research for eight to twelve months.

Fulbright-Nehru International Education Administrators Seminar – Application due date: April 15, 2015
This is a two-week program in the U.S. in October 2017 for mid- to senior-level Indian college and university administrators who have at least two years of experience in international program development at their institutions. The applicant should have substantial responsibility for enhancing the internationaldimension of their institutions, and must aim to build capacity of their faculty and students through international collaborations and exchange and innovative curricular design. A total of 10 Indian higher education administrators will be selected for this program which will include visits to U.S. universities/colleges, panel discussions and networking events, giving them an opportunity to learn about curriculum development, globalization of education, teaching methodologies and faculty/student exchanges.
