Report on Industrial Visit to BAIL – 2023
Name of the Event: Industrial Visit
Place of Visit: Bangalore Aircraft Industries Ltd., KIAB, Marenahalli.
Date & Time: 14.06.2023 & 9.00 am to 5.30 pm
No. of Participants: 33 Students + 2 Faculty members.
Industrial Visit Report:
The industrial visit is organized to visit Bangalore Aircraft Industries Ltd, Aerospace park KIADB, B.Marenahalli, Kavadedasarahalli, Karnataka 562129 on 14 th June 2023. Total of 33 students and 2 staff members have participated from Aerospace Department, ACSCE.
The industrial visit has been started at 9.15 am from college campus in college bus andreached BAIL at 11.00 am. The students were welcomed by Director Mr. K.E. Girish and thefirst session was handled by Dr. Das, Former Scientist, NAL. He shared his experience and imparted awareness among the students on how to get the opportunities in Aerospace sectors.
The visit schedule is given below,
Session I (11.00 am to 12.00 pm): Motivation session and Opportunities for Engineering graduates in aerospace industries. (Resource Person: Dr. Das, Former Scientist NAL)
Session II (12.00 pm to 12.45 pm): Introduction to Aero-Structural Analysis- Software Packages, Real-time projects (Resource Person: Mr. K.E. Girish, Director, BAIL)
Lunch: 12.45 pm to 1.45 pm
Session III (1.45 pm to 3.00 pm): Visit to various premises (Aircraft structural test stand, Spar test rig, Composite Bay, Sheet metal workshop etc.) (Resource Person: Mr. Sunil, Chief Engineer, BAIL)
Enroute to College: 3.00 pm.
The students left the premises at 3:00 PM after gaining knowledge on aerospace structures, opportunities for structural analyst, Software packages, Testing of materials, Composite materials fabrication and Airframe manufacturing.
