About the CSI Day Celebration & Technical Fest’17:
The Department of CSE is organized Technical Talk on “Ethical hacking” on August 18th 2017. Our beloved HOD, Dr.B.S Pradeep introduced resource persons Mr.Prasanna Doddamani & Mr.Nandna Hegade ,LiveWire, Bangalore to the gathering. The resource persons have delivered technical talk on “Ethical hacking” for II& III year of CSE students and faculty members at seminar hall 1 from 10.45 am to 12.45 pm. The resource person derived the concepts of Ethical Hacking. It is the process of breaking into an organization’s IT networks and systems to test their weakness and vulnerabilities. There are five phases in hacking. They include reconnaissance, gaining access, enumeration, maintaining access, and covering tracks. Hackers use various hacking tools and techniques in each of these phases.
The Recourse person also emphasized Job opportunities of ethical hackers such as IT and other business organizations hire ethical hackers to enhance their network security. Some of the jobs available for ethical hackers include: Information Security & Governance Specialist, Pentester/ IT Security Professional, Cyber Security Professional, Security Consultant, Security Advisors, IT Specialists, IT System Executives, and IT Consultants.
Finally, our beloved HoD, Dr.B.S Pradeep handed over memento to Mr.Prasanna Doddamani & Mr.Nandna Hegade, for the token of appreciation.
