Industrial visit to Skanray Technologies

The Department of Biomedical Engineering organaised an Industrial visit to Skanray Technologies Plot No. 15 -17, Ring Road, Hebbal Industrial Area, Mysuru, Karnataka 570016, as a part of Industrial visit on 11th November 2017. 31 Students were part of this industrial visit and students were accompanied by faculty coordinators.

About the Programme:

After reaching the Skanray Technologies ,Mysuru .Students and faculty were explained about the Skanray Technologies and how it evolved as one of the leading biomedical companies specializing in High Frequency X-Ray Imaging Systems, Critical Care Devices and Primary Healthcare & Telemedicine compatible devices and products are designed to comply with international quality & safety standards such as UL, CE, FDA, ISO 13485, ISO 9001 and AERB.

Skill set ranging from Power Electronics, High Voltage Engineering, Image Reconstruction, Embedded Systems, Software, Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Program Management, Process Engineering, Quality, Safety & Regulatory Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Management, Investment Banking, Finance and HR.

Manufacturing Strengths

1. In-house assembly of oil filled high voltage mono-blocks.
2. Materials and manufacturing technologies for X-ray tubes.
3. FDA compliant GMP processes.

After the session the students were made to form two groups and students were taken around for the manufacturing plant. product range covering Patient Monitoring Systems, High-frequency X-ray devices, Electro-surgical units, Anaesthesia workstations, ICU Ventilators, Syringe pumps, Dental and Critical care devices.
