AAROHANA-2019
About the Programme:
Aarohana 2019, ACSCE was held on 11th and 13th May 2019.
On 11th May 2019, it was celebrated with a theme “Unity in Diversity and Patriotism” at ACSCE playground.
The Chief Guest Wing Commander Dr. Peter Devadoss, entered the venue through INDIA GATE built by the students. The function was started by paying tribute and as a mark of respect to Jawans. flower bouquets were placed at the built monument AMAR JAWAN.
Later, Cultural Head Dr.Veena B H spoke about the purpose of celebrating the theme “Unity in Diversity and Patriotism” was that to create awareness among the youth about Patriotism and love for our diversified culture. The Wing Commander Dr. Peter Devadoss spoke on the occasion and inspired the youth to join the army and serve the nation. Students exhibited their talents at the RED FORT stage by performing various forms of dances of different states like Manipuri, Kathak, Lavani, Bharathanatyam etc.. All the forms of dances were splendid.
The Chief Guest applauded the monuments built and the models exhibited in the exhibition especially the Wagah Border, Stone Chariot, Kaiga Forest. Faculties and students enjoyed the variety of food and different styles of food at the Food Stall. Students also cherished the moments of various events which were exhibited in the photo gallery. Students enjoyed the afternoon after lunch with great fun and laughter by playing Desi games.
On 13th May 2019, the Annual Cultural fest 2019 began with an invocation. The event was held at ACS auditorium and the event was continued for the whole day. Most of the Art events like Pot Painting, Drawing, Sketching, Pick and Speak, Dumb Charade etc were conducted during the last week of April. The stage events such as Solo dance, Group dance, Singing were performed on the stage. It was mesmerizing. . In particular ,
Yakshagana performed by first year student Srinidhi was awesome.
Everyone sat glued to the seat especially when the Fashion Show began. The guests of honour for the day were of two kannada films Team “Hang Over” and “Mylapura”. The youngest producer of the Sandalwood of Mylapura team distributed the prizes to the winners of various cultural events. The event was concluded with the most awaited and memorable event DJ.
