About the Programme:

The inaugural function of the PCRA technical supported programme on Energy Conservation and Management: Career Opportunities started at 9.00 am with an lighting of lamp on 09th March 2017. Dr.M.Eswaramoorthy welcomed the gathering, Dr M.S.Murali Principal, ACSCE delivered the presidential address with prime needs for an energy conservation in the present energy scenario. Shri. S.Chandrasekaran PCRA external faculty, delivered the chief guest address and highlighted the overview of energy scenario at state to national levels, energy career highlighted. Dr S. S Patil Professor and HoD of EEE gave the vote of thanks. The total 152 participants attended for the programme and 32 peoples are external participants.

Session 1: Shri S.Chandrasekar External Faculty PCRA, has delivered talk on Integrated Energy System, Various thermal and electrical system integration highlighted. Need for low gravity water storage and solar water pumping for bore well addressed along with energy conservation case studies through some video shows.

Session 2: Shri Sunil Sood, External Faculty PCRA has delivered talk on Public organisation and process industries about Energy Management, Energy Audit. Energy conservation act 2001, 2010 highlighted.

Session 3. Dr M. Eswaramoorthy, ACSCE has delivered talk for Energy Conservation in Process Industries. basics and model on process industries equipment fans, bowlers,motors, transformers, heat exchanges, steam turbine, reactor and some cases studies on cost saving opportunity in petrochemical industries highlighted.

Session 4: Group discussion and feedback collected. Dr R Sivasubramaniam given his feedback about the seminar event. Prof. Prasanth, asst professor from Coorg Institute of Technology external participants has highlighted the importance of energy conservation domain and advised the students to take up career in this domain.

Dr.M.Eswaramoorthy thanked PCRA officials; the Management of ACSCE for their continues support and invited the all the co-ordinators prof. Sreenidhi Acharya (ME), prof. Chandrakala(ME), prof. Ananth (EEE), prof. Vibha Shetty(EEE) and Student volunteer on the stage and thanked everyone for their support to conduct the programme a fruitful one.
