About the Programme:
A workshop on “R & D Avenues for Electrical and Electronics Engineering “ was conducted by Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department under Electrovision Association in the Seminar hall-3. Resource person for the workshop was Mr. Venugopal R (Managing director, Venjay Automation). Function was started with welcome address and presentation of flower bouquet. Dignitaries present on the dais were Prof. Elangovan, Vice Principal (Administration), Mr.Venugopal R (Managing director, Venjay Automation) ,Dr.S S Patil, HOD EEE dept. Vice Principal, Prof. Elangovan addressed the gathering by congratulating the department for conducting successive events . He appreciated the effort of HOD, staff and students in making the events successful. He advised the students to get benefitted from the workshop. Chief Guest Mr.Venugopal R addressed the gathering and highlighted the need for research in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He advised the staff and students to take up some projects and research activities in the field of energy which is biggest R&D avenue in the present era. In the workshop he explained the basics of power electronics used in the industry, regenerative braking, automation in the industry with some videos and lectures. At the end of the workshop there was a question answer session in which students clarified their doubts. Certificates were distributed to the participants of the workshop.
